Deadline print consultants was established in June 1995 in Gaborone by Gabriel K. Matshego, a renowned and former Botswana government printer. The company was then confined to out-sourcing printing services throughout the SADC region for printing needs in Botswana.

 

In September 1996, Raymond Seeletso, a prominent local publisher, joined the company as a partner. The partnership brought together two Batswana with extensive experience in the printing and publishing industry and it also saw the birth of Pentagon Publishers, the first locally owned educational book publishing company. Their sole purpose and intention being to provide a publishing service of repute and produce materials surpassing expectations of the local book publishing industry.
